Fair play

The rules that keep the rankings honest, and what happens to accounts that try to game them.

On this page

ALPHA Network is only useful if its record can be trusted. Every rule below applies to everyone, wherever a call comes from. Numbers are defaults.

How each trick is stopped#

Trick What stops it
Backdating a call Calls use Telegram's own timestamp. Messages older than 3 minutes can't become calls, and edited messages never do
Claiming someone else's find The first member to post a token in a group owns the call there. The order of discovery across the whole network is recorded too
Faking a peak on a tiny pool Calls need at least $1,000 of liquidity (groups can require more). Peaks are confirmed from price candles, not single-trade spikes
Spamming calls to catch a winner 60 minutes before calling the same token again, 25 calls per 24 hours, burst detection that flags the account, and a score that rewards accuracy rather than volume
Re-calling the same token Marked as a re-entry automatically and counted at half weight
Riding one lucky call Small samples are pulled toward a neutral score, and Consistency drops when one outlier carries a record
Inflating a group with one caller Group scores are discounted when one person makes most of the calls. Groups need 3 different callers to earn rewards
Multiple accounts and wash wallets One wallet can back only one account. Suspicious activity is flagged for moderator review
Self-dealing Calls on $ALPHA itself are never tracked. Moderators can block tokens and mark calls invalid
Paid shilling Promoted calls are labelled as paid and never count toward scores, ranks or rewards

What happens when you're flagged#

  1. A flag is raised automatically (for example by burst detection) or by a moderator.
  2. A moderator reviews it.
  3. While your account is flagged:
    • your new calls are marked as flagged;
    • flagged calls lower your Alpha Score (the more flagged calls, the bigger the cut, up to half);
    • you can't receive caller rewards.
  4. If the flag is cleared, you're back to normal. If not, moderators can invalidate calls or suspend the account.

Suspended accounts#

A suspended account can't record calls or use commands. The bot says "Your account is suspended". If you think it's a mistake, send /support.

Your record can't be edited#

Not by you, not by the team. Moderators can invalidate a call that broke the rules, such as a manipulated pool, but every such change is written to an audit log with what changed and who changed it.

Group owners#

Owners can make their group stricter, never looser than the network:

  • minimum liquidity and a market-cap range;
  • a cooldown and a daily cap per member;
  • admins-only calling;
  • ignoring a member (/ignore).

See Group settings.

Something not working? Check Troubleshooting, or send /support your message to the bot.
