The Alpha Score

How your score from 0 to 100 is worked out, what each part measures, and how to raise it.

On this page

The Alpha Score rewards consistent, early, risk-aware calling, not one lucky hit. Only matured calls count (24 hours after the call by default). Watch calls and flagged calls are left out.

You have a score for three periods: all time, the last 30 days and the last 7 days. See yours with /profile, the breakdown with /stats, or the Profile tab in the Mini App.

The six parts#

Each part is a number from 0 to 100. Your score is their weighted mix (default weights).

Part Weight What it measures
Performance 35% How high your calls peaked, adjusted for how uneven your results are
Timing 20% How early you were compared with the rest of the network
Consistency 15% Whether your typical call performs like your average call
Hit rate 10% The share of your calls that reached 2x
Risk control 10% How far your calls fell below their entry
Conviction 10% Whether your high-conviction calls delivered

Performance#

Based on each call's peak multiple (peaks above 100x count as 100x). Your average is taken on a log scale, so a 2x, a 4x and an 8x are equal steps. A quarter of the spread between your results is then subtracted, so a volatile record scores lower than a steady one. An average around 10x scores 100.

Timing#

The average of your discovery points: first discovery 100, early 70, momentum 40, late 10. See discovery order.

Consistency#

Compares your median call with your average call. If one huge outlier carries your record, your median is far below your average and this part drops. You need at least 2 scored calls for it to count.

Hit rate#

The share of calls that reached 2x (the default hit multiple). It uses a cautious estimate that is fair to small samples: 2 hits out of 2 calls is not treated as "100%".

Risk control#

100 minus how far your typical call fell below its entry. A call that dipped 30% before running costs more here than one that went straight up.

Conviction#

Only your conviction 4 and 5 calls count here:

  • a 4 is right if the call reached 2x;
  • a 5 is right if the call reached 3x.

If you never use 4 or 5, this part sits at a neutral 50. Conviction 1 to 3 never hurts you here.
